The 5th International Marine Anti corrosion and Anti pollution Forum (IFMCF 2020 for short) was held grandly from August 5 to 7, 2020. With the theme of "marine strategy, corrosion protection, joint construction and sharing", this forum focuses on the fields of marine energy development equipment, marine ranching, nuclear power equipment, bridges, marine communications and ships, and will focus on summarizing the phased achievements and international development trends of China's marine strategy during the "13th Five Year Plan" period.

Since the International Marine Anti corrosion and Anti pollution Forum was held in 2016, it has been held for four years, with more than 3000 people served, 200+reports invited, 50+projects collected, and 100+demand docking completed.

Academician Xue Qunji and Yang Su, Deputy Director of Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, respectively delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Academician Xue Qunji pointed out that in the current increasingly fierce international competition environment, new marine materials and new equipment preparation technology will play an increasingly important role in China's process of developing marine resources, developing marine economy, implementing the marine power strategy, building the "the Belt and Road" and building a community of shared future in the sea.

In the afternoon and morning of August 6 and 7, sub forums on marine energy development equipment, ships, marine ranching, bridges, nuclear power equipment and other topics were held as scheduled, and discussions were conducted on new technologies, new materials, new equipment and new standards for marine anti-corrosion and pollution prevention.

OSL Haike was invited to be a guest and participate in the discussion. It is a new enterprise born in the research group of Professor Qian Yuanpei of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and has been engaged in the research of marine natural product antifoulants for a long time. It is committed to finding low toxic and efficient natural antifoulants from the marine environment, realizing the environmental protection concept of "From the sea, for the sea", and effectively enhancing the marine antifouling industry's awareness of marine ecological protection and social responsibility.
