The 20th issue of Interview with Teacher Yuan [Million Dialogue] was also successfully held at the alumni exchange meeting. Top 10 Haike Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "OSL Haike") in the National Final of HKUST Millionaire Bonus Entrepreneurship Competition (hereinafter referred to as "Millionaire Entrepreneurship Competition") Ma Ye, CEO and Head of Publicity Department of HKUST Mainland Students Alumni Association, was invited to attend and talk with Mr. Yuan, the director of the Mainland Office of HKUST Business School, the executive vice chairman of the HKUST EMBA Alumni Liaison Council, and the executive director of the Million Creations Competition. The theme of this dialogue was to talk about his own story with Yancheng. In the interview, Mr. Yuan had an in-depth discussion with the dialogue guests on the latest development of innovation and entrepreneurship in Yancheng. Tang Gaoming introduced the three advantages of the project in Yancheng. Cai Yongjun, Cheng Liang, Zhang Wenyu and other outstanding alumni introduced their entrepreneurial experience and team experience respectively.

Ma Ye said that his starting point with Yancheng came from last year's competition in the Yangtze River Delta. OSL Haike stood out from many projects and won the second prize in the regional competition and the third place in the national finals. As Yancheng government is pragmatic and efficient, at the end of last year, after many visits and negotiations by Yancheng government, OSL Haike signed a strategic framework agreement with Yancheng government, considering that Yancheng has the longest coastline in China and rich marine industries around it.

Ma Ye pointed out that Yancheng has a unique geographical advantage in the development of antifouling paint industry. Yantai, Qingdao and other cities to the north of Yancheng are big cities of marine industry in China, and the Bohai Sea adjacent to Yancheng is the central pilot area of marine ranching in China. Wuxi, Suzhou, Changzhou and other cities to the south of Yancheng are the centralized production places of antifouling coatings and raw materials, providing nearly 70% of the national production capacity. Yancheng is surrounded by rich ports, several top 10 shipyards in China and a large number of offshore wind power stations. OSL Haike will combine the advantages of Yancheng to accelerate the industrial implementation of non-toxic and efficient anti pollution technology. The "Yangtze River Delta" strategic layout has taken shape.

In addition, Ma Ye described the development history of OSL Haike and the current development situation. OSL Haike was founded in Hong Kong in 2019. Its core anti pollution technology is a key technology for technology transfer of HKUST. From its inception to the present, it has overcome such major difficulties as the synthesis path of core substances, the scale of tonnage mass production, and cost reduction in just two years. One of the goals this year is to do demonstration projects in different fields of marine applications. The marine industry includes aquaculture, offshore wind power, oil drilling, cargo transportation, nuclear power plants, marina yacht entertainment projects, warship equipment and underwater detection equipment for scientific research. As a basic material technology, OSL Haike will combine with different application scenarios to carry out large-scale testing projects and tackle every small problem in the process of technology industry transformation.

At present, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has maintained a good cooperative relationship with Yancheng City.
